Lance Barrow is the Coordinating Producer for CBS Sports’ NFL and golf coverage. The eight-time Emmy Award-winner began his association with CBS by volunteering as a spotter and researcher during golf telecasts while a student at Abilene Christian University. In 1982, Lance was hired as a broadcast associate before being promoted to associate producer in 1985 and producer in 1994. He assumed the role of Coordinating Producer for golf in 1997 and for the NFL in 2004.
Lance has also produced CBS Sports’ coverage of the 1992 and 1994 Olympic Winter Games along with the NCAA Men’s Final Four, college football, auto racing and the U.S. Open Tennis Championships. He was the recipient of the 2008 Abilene Christian Outstanding Alumnus Award, which recognizes lifetime achievement that brings honor to the University.
Lance graduated from Abilene Christian in 1977 with a degree in communications. He played on both the baseball and football teams. Lance and his wife, Melissa, have two daughters and reside in Colleyville, Texas.
