Kevin Streelman enjoyed an exciting 2009 season on the PGA Tour. His best tournament finish came at the Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancun where he finished tied for third. However 2009 is a year Kevin will always remember for winning the Kodak Challenge. The first-of-its-kind Kodak Challenge celebrated the beautiful holes and memorable moments on the PGA TOUR and challenged players to perform their best on 30 designated holes throughout the 2009 PGA TOUR season. With a birdie on the 17th hole at the Children’s Miracle Network Classic, Kevin finished with a combined score of -17 and won the $1,000,000 prize.
As a rookie on the PGA TOUR in 2008, Kevin Streelman made an immediate impact. He first became known to golf fans when he found himself paired with Tiger Woods in the final group during the third round of the Buick Invitational in January. That event was the beginning of Kevin’s meteoric rise up the Official World Golf Rankings from #1,114 to #124 by season’s end. He finished the year with earnings of $1,352,705, good for 78th on the final money list.
Kevin played consistently throughout the season with four top-10 and eight top-25 finishes. He also made 17 of his final 18 cuts and just narrowly missed qualifying for the Tour Championship after finishing 35th in the Fed-Ex Cup points race.
A native of Wheaton, IL, Kevin graduated from Duke University in 2001 and turned professional later that year. He persevered through several seasons on various professional circuits before finishing 14th at the 2007 PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament to earn his Tour card.
Kevin recorded a win and three runner-up finishes on the Hooters Tour between 2005 and 2007. He also had three Gateway Tour victories in 2007. In 2005, Kevin Monday qualified for the PGA Tour’s U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee, made the cut and finished 29th.
Kevin is a warm, engaging player who enjoys interacting with pro-am partners and corporate clients. His interests include playing the guitar, Chicago Cubs baseball, Duke basketball and his shih tzu dog, Snoop. Kevin and his wife Courtney reside in Scottsdale.
